Religious Education (RE) – Right to Withdraw

 

At our school, Religious Education (RE) is provided as part of the curriculum and reflects the requirements of the law and our agreed syllabus.

Parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education. If you are considering withdrawing your child, we encourage you to discuss your request with the class teacher so that we can explain the curriculum and consider any questions or concerns you may have.

If you wish to withdraw your child from all or part of RE, please submit your request in writing to the Headteacher. The school will make appropriate arrangements for your child during the periods from which they are withdrawn.
