Year 4 Parents

The multiplication tables check (MTC) is for all year 4 pupils in England.

The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics. It will help schools to identify pupils who have not yet mastered their times tables, so that additional support can be provided.

In 2025, schools must administer the MTC to all eligible year 4 pupils between Monday 2 June and Friday 13 June.

We will be holding two workshops for parents. Staff will provide you with more information and an opportunity for you to trial some online resources with your child.

Workshop for Class 4H will be on Monday 3rd March at 9.00am.

Workshop for Class 4D will be on Monday 3rd March at 2.30pm.

It is really important that you attend. All you need to bring is yourself and your mobile phone.

If you can not make the workshops, Mrs Nicholls will be happy to provide you with information.
