This year school will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.
We will be participating in activities that are being run by the Literacy Trust in conjunction with the National Year of Reading as set out by the Department of Education.
Our whole school theme is ‘Sport in Literature.’ We will be looking at non-fiction texts which explore different sports and influential sporting personalities.
We invite you to dress in sporty clothing for this day. E.g. football shirts, cricket vests, dance costumes etc. Each year group is looking at different sports and you may wish to wear something from that sport if you have it.
We understand that families may have financial considerations, so there is no expectation for you to purchase anything new for this event.

Year 2 – Lewis Hamilton – Motor sport F1
