World Book Day

Dear Parents and Carers,

This year, we will be celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday 1st March in school. (This is a day earlier than the national World Book Day)

Children need to bring a book that they love and will need to be prepared to share it with their class.

Children may dress up as characters or authors if they want to. This is not a requirement.

On Wednesday 15th February, children will bring home World Book Day vouchers as they are valid from Thursday 16 February until Sunday 26 March 2023. We hope that by providing them prior to World Book Day, children will be able to exchange them for a book at a participating retailer, who are:

  • Your local independent bookseller

  • Asda

  • Morrisons

  • Sainsburys

  • Tesco

  • The Works

  • Waterstones

  • WHSmith

On World Book Day, we will be launching our class authors with pupils so that they develop an awareness of the exceptional and diverse authors that have influenced children’s literature.

Thank you for you continued support,

Mrs Bunce

Assistant Head for KS2 and Literacy
