NEU Teacher Strike - Wednesday 1st March

Good morning,

You may be aware that there is another planned teachers strike coming up on Wednesday 1st March.

As it stands, school will remain OPEN TO ALL PUPILS as not all teachers are in this union and not all teachers will be taking strike action on these days. Although, in some classes, your child may not be taught by their usual class teacher.

The Year 5 trip to Cadbury World will go ahead as planned.

As mentioned before the previous strike day, strike action remains an ever-changing situation and I will update parents ahead of the next days of planned strikes (15th and 16th March) should school be affected in any way.

It may be that parents may wish to have a contingency plan for the dates of the days of strikes just in case there does have to be closures.

The decision to close the school to all or some groups of children is never taken lightly. However, where staff do elect to take lawful industrial action, school has to consider very carefully if we are able to make suitable arrangements to ensure the health, safety and well-being of children throughout the day.
