Breaktime Snacks

We know how much our children enjoy a quick snack at break time, and we want to make sure those snacks help keep them healthy and ready to learn. Recently, we’ve noticed a few snacks coming in that are quite high in sugar or salt, so we’d really appreciate your help in keeping break‑time choices as healthy as possible.
Great options include simple favourites like apples, bananas, carrot sticks, celery sticks, or any fruit or veg your child enjoys. These give children a natural energy boost and help them stay focused for the rest of the morning.
If you can, please try to avoid sending in snacks such as sweets, chocolate bars, crisps, or sugary drinks. Our school council representatives will be keeping an eye on this over the next few weeks. They will then be supporting leaders to come with a new guidance that can be shared with parents/ carers. We aim to be relaunching our 'Healthy Snacks' policy ready to start next half term!
Thank you so much for your support — it really does make a difference.
