Summer Term 2 begins....

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are enjoying the half term sunshine!

Last week I wrote to you informing you of our plans ahead of reopening on Tuesday 2nd June. We are spending the next few days ironing out the final few logistical issues and we will be ready to go on Tuesday.

Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 6 and Critical Worker parents

On Tuesday, when you bring your child to school, please look out for the signs telling you where to go and we kindly ask you to follow any one way systems we have created. We also ask that you think of others whilst on the pavements surrounding the school and try to social distance from other parents where possible. We will send returning year groups texts on Monday informing exactly where to go so keep an eye out for those on Monday.

As stated previously, all children must be brought to school and collected by a parent. This is to ensure that all social distancing guidelines are adhered to. Unfortunately, we cannot allow children to walk home by themselves during this time.

We also politely ask that you stick to the times of the day as shared last week. In order to keep everyone safe, we do insist that you are punctual when bringing your child to school and collecting them.

I appreciate that the decision whether to send your child back to school or not has not been an easy one to make and I wish to thank all parents that have informed us of their decisions either way. This has meant that we have been able to plan how we are going to staff our school over the next few days and weeks. It does mean, however, that if parents change their mind about sending their child to school and wish their child to attend, we will need at least 24 hours notice that your child will be attending and, though we will try our best to accommodate the next day, it may be that we cannot have your child straight away if it means creating another ‘bubble’.

All parents

On Monday, new work packs will be available on the website for parents to download. As we have done previously, we can print off a small number of work packs should any parents not have the facility to do so but we ask that you order the packs first by contacting our school office and arrange a time for collection as previously, parents have requested work packs which have remained uncollected. Please phone the office from Tuesday if you require this provision.

Next week is going to be an interesting week for all of us and all of us here at Stow Heath thank you in advance for your patience and consideration as we go into this next phase of trying to reopen our school.

We look forward to welcoming some of you back next week!
