Nearly the end of a strange week...

Dear Parents & Carers,

We are coming to the end of the first unusual week we have found ourselves in. The children we have in school have been getting outside with the sports coaches, making rainbows for the school windows, taking part in the Joe Wicks PE lessons and completing the Lego Challenges Miss Jones has been setting every day. There is lots of fun and laughter inside our schools walls even in these uncertain times.

To ensure the safety of the staff in school, we are limiting the number of staff in school each day. At present, there is only one member of our Office staff in school each day so please be patient if answering your calls takes a little longer than usual.

We have been busily searching for ideas and activities to share with you via our Facebook page – thank you for showing us what your children have been getting up to and for the lovely comments that we are receiving.

To the parents of key workers, please remember to inform the office of when your child will be in week beginning 30th March. We will be asking you to book your child’s place each week. This will help us to ensure sufficient staffing for each session. We will be here for you all, as long as we can be, for whatever childcare you need.

To the parents who are keeping their children at home, you may be facing a daily battle with routines and trying to get school work done. Arguing with your children to do their work is not the stress you need right now. We will keep providing work and activities via our school website but please do not worry if it is not done. Instead, spend time together as a family and take care of each other. Your children may well end up remembering this time as the best time that they spent together with you as a family,

School feels eerily quiet this week and it is taking a lot of getting used to. I cannot wait to be able to open the gates and hear the sounds of our pupils laughing, joking (and arguing!) in our corridors again. But until then, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. All at Stow Heath are thinking of you all and don’t hesitate to send us messages on Facebook showing us all that you have been up to.
