Good morning everyone!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sunshine - it looks likely that we are going to see a change in the weather this week but don't worry, we have lots to keep you occupied indoors.
There is a link to the daily Maths lessons in each year group folder that have been uploaded this morning as well as the work that was uploaded last week.
Miss Dhaliwal is currently working on a project that will help our school to achieve the Artsmark award. She is asking our pupils to create an art piece based on the theme of 'community spirit, kindness, positive wellbeing and celebrating all the amazing people around us.' Your art piece has no limits: it can be a painting, a poem, a dance, singing a song, a rap, drama, music etc.
Another competition we have running is Miss Freeman's writing competition. She wants our pupils to write a poem entitled 'What will I remember?' about your memories and experiences during this weird time we find ourselves in. There are prizes available for the best poems from each year group.
On our Facebook page, you may have seen the John Lewis competition we shared yesterday in honour of our incredible carers at the NHS. They need designs for superhero themed bears which, if chosen to be the winner, will be made and sold in their stores across the country later this year. How exciting!
Details of all these competitions and projects can be found on our Facebook page.
You may also have seen the very clever work of Mrs Burns on our Facebook page. If you haven't, check out the link below:
She asked all the staff here at Stow Heath to write a message to our pupils who we haven't seen in weeks! We just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you, that we miss you and can't wait for us all to be back together. Maybe you could record your own messages and share them with us too! We'd love that!
Have a good week everyone. Stay safe!
