Important Reminders

Today marks the end of September and the end of the first month back at school. I am so happy to have welcomed the majority of our children back to school and I thank you all very much your patience and understanding whilst we navigate our way the never ending changes in government policy and advice.

That being said, I want to take this opportunity to remind parents of the following measures as we continue to work hard to keep our children, parents and staff here at Stow Heath safe. Whilst we know there appears to be lots of frustrating rules, as a school, we have to abide by Government guidelines.

PLEASE can we ask parents and carers to continue to follow our ‘rules’ below which are there to try to keep the whole community safe, will help us to keep our school fully open and limit the risk of closing a year group bubble down:

  • Maintain a safe distance from those who do not live in your household. We are still seeing groups of parents gathering around our school gates and we ask that you move on as soon as your child is in school. Do not block the gates under any circumstances.

  • Please wear a face mask whenever you are on the school site. We have seen a marked increase in the number of parents wearing a mask but we still need your support in this matter going forward.

  • Please do not arrive at the school gates more than a few minutes before they open.

  • We are experiencing a high volume of children arriving late to school on a regular basis. This puts your child in possible contact with other year groups, something which we are trying to minimise as much as possible. Please adhere to your child's start & finish times.

One important reminder: We also ask that you do not try to speak to staff individually at the start or end of each day so that we can welcome and dismiss children safely from their designated spots. Should you have any important queries then please contact the school office by telephone on 01902558820 or email

Please be assured that whatever we do is in the interests of your child’s safety and we ask you to continue to be patient whilst things are taking more time due to social distancing and new routines for us all.

Have a good evening,

Mrs Scoffham
