Home Learning - week beginning 4th January 2021

Good afternoon,

Following this morning's announcement that school will remain closed to most pupils until further notice, I wish to share with you our home learning plans that will be available to our pupils who will be learning from home.

From tomorrow, there will be daily Literacy & Maths video lessons for each year group. These can be found in this folder on the website: www.stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk/find-your-year-group

There will also be a suggested timetable to help you structure your child's learning at home.

It is important that your child still reads regularly and there will be at least 3 Reading tasks a week to help with this. Please encourage your child to read books of their choice too.

There will be additional resources for all other subjects (History, PE, ICT etc). Teachers will continue to set tasks on Purple Mash for children to complete. Remember your child should have logins to additional online resources to help them with their learning e.g. TT Rock Stars to help with times tables and Oxford Reading Buddies to help with pupils comprehension skills. Should you require passwords to these, please email your child's year group below.

We have created email addresses for each year group in school for parents to contact class teachers should you require any additional support/guidance whilst your child is learning at home. Please use this email as your first port of call should you have any questions regarding online learning. The email addresses are:

Nursery@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Reception@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Rockets@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year1@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year2@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year3@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year4@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year5@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

Year6@stowheathprimaryschool.co.uk

It is important that all children take part in the learning videos and activities that they are set by their teachers. Class teachers will be contacting parents throughout this time to ensure that pupils are able to continue with their learning whilst at home.
