I just wanted to send a quick letter out to you all before we break up from 1pm today to wish you all a wonderful Summer and recap what we are intending to do from September.
The new school year will begin for pupils on Thursday 2nd September, and at present, we have been told that current Covid restrictions will no longer apply and we will be able to get back to some semblance of normality. This means that our children will no longer be taught in bubbles or need to social distance in and around school. School will return to normal times of the day and assemble and dismissed from the classroom doors on the playground (with the exception of Nursery - please see previous post)
I cannot believe that today is the last day of the school year. I wanted to thank you all for your support you have given to your children, to school staff and to each other. I appreciate that this has been another strange year which has brought many changes to our normal day to day lives and that at times, with lockdowns and bubble closures, it has been a challenge but what a wonderful job you have done in supporting your children and the school. Thank you. I truly believe that by working together, we will make a difference and I hope this will continue into the next academic year.
More importantly, your children have grown this year to become caring, resilient, hardworking, enthusiastic and happy pupils who have been committed to their learning whether that be in school or at home and I can honestly say that I am so proud of each and every one of our pupils.
No doubt in the coming weeks, the shopping for school uniform will begin. Our uniform remains unchanged but as we look to September, I wish to remind parents that high standards and compliance with school rules is expected regarding uniform. Wearing our uniform is an important part of being part of the Stow Heath family and we ask parents to ensure that children are sent in the correct uniform from September.
In the days before school reopens on Thursday 2nd September, I will write again to confirm our plans for September should there be any changes in the coming weeks.
For now though, have a wonderful Summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you when all the children return in September.
As always, best wishes
Mrs Scoffham & everyone at Stow Heath Primary School.
