Autumn Term Parents Evening 2021

Dear Parents & Carers,

Usually at this point in the Autumn Term, we announce plans to host our first Parents Evening of the year. As a school, we pride ourselves on building relationships with parents but, with the ever lingering threat of Covid in the air, we are changing our usual style of parents evening. This term, we are going to hold one-to-one meetings with parents over the course of a day to limit the numbers of people in school.

The purpose of the one-to-one meeting is so that teachers can inform you how your child is settling back into school and set targets that we can work on together to help your child with.

Each year group will have a designated day to attend which are listed below. One-to-one conversations will take place between 9am and 4pm. Each conversation will last for approximately 10 minutes. Parents will be asked to attend no earlier than 5 minutes before your meeting time to limit the number of people waiting in the main office area.

Next week, your child will come home with a slip for you to indicate whether you would prefer a morning or afternoon meeting and we will do our best to stick to these times. If you need a particular time on that day, please indicate these on your form and your child’s class teacher will try to accommodate this request.

The dates are:

· Tuesday 2nd November - Reception

· Wednesday 3rd November – Nursery

· Thursday 4th November – Year 2

· Friday 5th November - Year 6

· Monday 8th November – Year 1

· Tuesday 9th November – Year 3

· Wednesday 10th November – Year 4

· Thursday 11th November – Year 5

· Monday 15th November – Rockets & Rockets 1

As a school, we strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher so that together, we can support your child with their learning.

It is our hope that either in the Spring or Summer Terms, we will be able to invite parents into school for workshops and open evenings to give you the opportunity to look at your child’s work in their books.

Have a lovely weekend.
